POEM: I THOUGHT I GOT SOME FRIENDS Empty POEM: I THOUGHT I GOT SOME FRIENDS

Post by Jo Africa Thu Jul 22, 2021 1:14 pm

I got a family doctor, family lawyer
I got a family pastor, family driver
I thought I got some friends – O Lord!
I thought I got some friends.

I got a family house, family farm
I got a family name, family members
I thought I got some friends – O Lord!
I thought I got some friends.

But now that my pillar is down
An orphan is my new name
My relatives and friends, are gazing at me
When I bow down they take everything – O My Lord!

Cover me O Mighty Lord
Cover me with the Blood of Jesus Christ
Those I guarantee to be my lifetime friends
Are now my enemies

O Mighty Lord! Be on my side
Those said to be friends
Are indeed Parasites!
