POEM: BARKING SERPENTS
When the finest sons of Africa,
Battled the cartels of corruption,
When the true sons of the soil,
Battled the tentacles of poverty,
Where were you dear puppet?
What office as a shameless citizen,
A citizen of this Great Africa,
Will you be entrusted with?
A professional barking office?
No!
No honor in that acute lunacy,
No honor in that greyish infancy,
No honor in that whitish idiocy.
I said no,
For I am the devourer of serpents,
Serpents of power and nothingness,
Nothingness of patriotism and success.
Battled the cartels of corruption,
When the true sons of the soil,
Battled the tentacles of poverty,
Where were you dear puppet?
What office as a shameless citizen,
A citizen of this Great Africa,
Will you be entrusted with?
A professional barking office?
No!
No honor in that acute lunacy,
No honor in that greyish infancy,
No honor in that whitish idiocy.
I said no,
For I am the devourer of serpents,
Serpents of power and nothingness,
Nothingness of patriotism and success.
